October :)

During the tenth month many things happened.
The weather turned much colder and now we wear hats, scarves and even gloves ('just was wondering how will the weather be like in the winter season...). At work, the responsibility grows.. Now I got a bit more tasks and some of them I still have to check twice before confirmation.. It's not that easy to be flawless :P.

Four weeks ago, two Aiesec galls decided to make a trip to Malbork, the medieval castle. As I joined them we had really nice time together. The castle was really amazing. One picture sais more than 100 words, so just have a look in my October album ;).

Three weeks ago we had an Aiesec event. I totally forgot how they call it here... It was 'kind of a reception and welcome party for newcomers. The local interns were also invited. We cooked some dishes.. I also brought some presentation, because we've been told that there will be proper equipment for rolling some slides and so. True to say, the equipment was ok, just we had no chance to present our countries as the DJ was messing things up.. Yes, it was more like a disco and not a casual reception, however, we, the interns, had our own table and tasted each other’s dish, and had a nice chat while the polish people were dancing and enjoying themselves. We got bored with chasing them and asking if they would like to taste some, of course, some of them joined us and we discussed a lot about cultural differences and Portuguese boyfriends.. tststs.. >( .. here comes the mentality :P .. Lucky me, I had a video (the one you can also find on this blog), which was easier to play on the plasma tv above the big club chair in the bar - part of the facility. As time went on we joined in the Aiesec dances.. Cotton Eyed Joe . Yess baby!! Some of the Polish people couldn't understand how is it possible, that we, "the foreigners" know these dances. However as the tombola started I left, because the return to my flat gets complicated as night comes.. the local train is leaving once in an hour and waiting for too long on the platform in these windy days is not a clever idea.

Two weeks ago two Interns from Warsaw visited Gdansk. They come from Germany and Romania and both are Aiesecers. We had a nice time together.. I plan to upload some photos of our sightseeing and stuff later. The funniest thing was, when we decided to take some pictures in front of the city's council, as there were elections and the polish flags gave us an idea of doing some nice photos.. It was also funny to see those surprised if not shocked faces of the locals passing us as we were pottering around the three big polish flags on the grassy yard of the council :P It seems that polish people trust their candidates more than we do at home.. they went voting in a pretty big number as we recognized during the whole day.

One week ago I took some holiday and went back home for a prolonged weekend. If you want to torture someone, guys!!, 15 hours in a train is the best way to do it.. Of course it wasn't really that terrifying. The good side of travelling so long is that one can finally find time to read a book (of course, that wouldn't have occurred if I wouldn't have forgotten to charge my mp3-player :P..) Thanks to some outgoing and friendly communication with the conductor he decided to change his mind and in a train, which was already booked out for beds he found me one 1st class compartment. Not just that. I had a whole compartment for myself with 3 beds, a sink, wardrobe and a nice mirror.. The other compartments were overcrowded with American teenagers.. They were jerking around all night while I was comfortably lying on my bed, my clothes on the bed below and my bag on the bottom bed.. That was such a nice experience. :D :D :D The weekend was short, but still I managed to do so many things. Repair my home computer, have two nice and long evening discussions with my parents (even granny came to visit.. I was very happy), play with our new puppy Zeus, meet some fiends and enjoyed the still warm Slovak climate :D :D.
Zero weeks ago :D, I mean this week I started off some new activities.. I prefer to reveal them in later subscriptions.. as there are so many of them I will have to sort them out and keep only the ones which really saturate my needs.
